A beautiful Copper Sets for Gourmet Chefs with 3 traditional pieces of solid copper kitchen tools completely handmade: spatula, ladle, and strainer in an Amoretti Brothers signature box. A great gift for the gourmet chef handmade with solid, hand-worked copper.

In the Middle Ages, it was cooked over an open fire and the tools used were (made of clay, iron, or bronze) they used to be pots, pans, and cauldrons. To prepare food there was a range of knives, spoons, skewers, and scissors. The bellows and the mortar were common in kitchens, as well as different kinds of hooks and portable trivets.

In the Renaissance, the range was widened a little more and it was easy to find scales, tongs, roasting forks, sieves, or metal grids for grilling.

The Industrial Revolution of the 18th century allowed the improvement of existing materials and thus increased the quality of the utensils. Improvements in transportation (which made it possible, for example, for fresh fish to be found in inland cities), the growth of the middle class, and a representative increase in gastronomic culture, led to the appearance of novel kitchens utensils.

In the 19th century, the variety of materials increased and we found everything from copper or wrought iron pots to pots made of some other materials.

The love for cooking well done never ceased to be a tradition that passed from generation to generation, as a true legacy and utensils of very high value have continued to be manufactured, such as utensils made by hand, preserving the techniques that shaped the pieces. of a high degree of purity.

To clean your new copper cookware set it’s easier than you might think. Amoretti Brothers copper cookware pieces are made with solid recycled copper and tin lined interiors for a conductive cooking surface. Copper tends to oxidize over time, forming a bluish layer called a patina. With a little care, you can keep your copper cookware pots and pans in near brand new condition. For the exterior copper layer, use a copper polish to clear the surface of tarnishing and white spots. While a common natural alternative is to clean copper cookware with lemon juice and salt (filla bowl with salt and then squeeze lemons, mix everything , add on the cookware and using a cotton cloth clean your cookware. After thatwash using fresh tap water), to ensure your safety and the longevity of your copper cookware, it is prefered to use professionally tested copper cleaners and then wash under frash tap water to restore the original shining. As for the tin interior, simply wash it with warm, soapy water and a soft sponge or cloth. Scrub gently but vigorously in order to remove stains and food residue. Do not use abrasive cleaning tools and corrosive chemicals on your copper cookware pans and pots in order to keep them from degrading. Never heat an empty tin-lined copper cookware pan or pot, allow water to completely evaporate until dry, or add salt to your cookware if the water has not yet boiled. The tin lining of copper cookware begins to wear out after several years of usage. This is easily remedied by having the copper pan or pot re-tinned. Please contact a professional to re-tin your cookware to ensure proper results. For more information on re-tinning and our copper cookware sale, please contact us at office@amorettibrothers.com
